Harold "Hap"
Richard Goldbourn
of Canton, formerly of Byesville entered into eternal rest on Saturday (Feb. 22, 2014). He was born Oct. 19, 1917 in Byesville and was the son of the late Adam and Hazel (Ables) Goldbourne. Hap was a resident of Canton since 1941. He retired from U.S. Steel, as head electrician, in 1980 after 30 years of service. Hap was a Christian and was a member of Village Baptist Temple in North Canton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Opal (Jackson) Goldbourn whom he married Dec. 20, 1941 and passed away July 12, 2009; his only sibling, a sister, Ruth Louise Adams; a son-in-law, Larry Ventresca.
He is survived by his children, Monna L. Perrenoud (Fred) of Canton, Betty J. Ventresca of Massillon, Thomas H. Goldbourn (Leia) of New York and Bonnie J. Lee (Norman) of Texas and many loved grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2014) at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Rost officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.black-eppersonfuneralhomes.com
