Henry J. Beitler
age 83, of Canton passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. He was born April 30, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to the late John and Irene Beitler. Henry is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Timken Company after 36 years of service. Henry is a member of Greentown United Methodist Church, Trinity Lodge 710 F&AM, and Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. Henry was inducted into the Armature Sports Hall of Fame in Canton for Fast Pitch Softball.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Robert; sister, Muriel. Henry is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Mike (Mindi), Jeff, and Tim (Mindy); daughter, Kathy (Mark) Lindamood; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; sisters, Joann Stuter and Gloria Long.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW) from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 5:30 p.m. by Trinity Lodge #710. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Shiners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa FL. 33607.
