Laurie C. Brennan
age 86, of Deltona, Fla., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Jan. 25, 2013. He was born in Auburndale, Fla. on Jan. 2, 1927 to the late Laurie
and Mabel Brennan. He lived for several years in Salem and Canton, Ohio where he worked as an electrical engineer at Bliss and Alliance Electric, and retired from Gates Corporation in Dothan, Ala. before moving to Florida in 1992. Laurie was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Laurie is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley; daughters, Linda Buckler of East Canton, Ohio, and Diane Davidson of Deltona, Fla.; sons, Michael (Patricia) Lesick of Deltona, Fla. and Larry Brennan of Ozark, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Geraldine) Brennan of Salem, Ohio; sister, Marcia French of Mattoon, Ill.; several nieces and nephews, and his canine companion, Cindy.
Arrangements were handled by Deltona Memorial Funeral Home of Orange City, Fla. The family wishes any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

For all who knew Uncle Congdon. Knew how wonderful and caring he was. I know all of us in Ohio and Michigan have wonderful memories of him. I for one will treasure those memories. You were a very special person. I will miss you, but I know you will always be watching over all of us.
