Louis M. 'Lou' Robson

age 90, of Jackson Township, died Saturday, March 10, 2012. He was born May 10, 1921 in New Philadelphia to the late John and Lula (Steinbaugh) Robson. Lou was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Class of 1939. He attended Kilgore College in Texas and received a Bachelor's degree in Business from the Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Lou was a successful businessman and co-founder of Ohio Poly, Inc. in Carrollton, Ohio and Continental Poly, Inc. in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a US Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Church of the Covenant. He enjoyed reading, cars, traveling and OSU football. He will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather who was very generous, successful and never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen; five sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Les) Keever; grandchildren, Todd and Julie; several very special nieces and nephews; and many longtime friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Entombment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society for the Blind, 1909 E 101st Street, Cleveland, OH 44106-4110 or Graceland University, 1401 West Truman Road, Independence, MO 64050. The family extends special thanks to all of his home health aides and Cheryl Sanko.
