'Together Again'
Lucille Edwards
born Nov. 26, 1926 in Union County, N.C. to the late James and Annie Massey. Lucille departed this life at Aultman Hospital on Feb. 9, 2013. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Paul Edwards on March 20, 1958. Lucille moved to Canton, Ohio at the age of 10. She worked and retired from the Hoover Company after 44 years of service. She was an avid bowler and also a member of the Eastern Star. Lucille had a passion and a love for all children which led her to become a foster parent. She was a lifelong member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board for 64 years, as well as being the oldest member of the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie Massey; husband, Paul Edwards; daughter, Barbara Holston; stepdaughter, Marion Wallace; brothers, Bernard, Richard, Ben and Terry; sisters, JoAnn Massey and Betty Bufford.
She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life, daughter, Sandra (Myron) Clark of Perry Township, which were also her caregivers; son, Rev. Anthony (Janice) Massey of Rochester, Pa.; son-in-law, Ronald Holston; stepdaughters, Shirley William and Myrtle William, all of Canton, Ohio; brothers, Henry (Dorothy) and Raymond Massey; sister, Wyoming Massey, all of Canton, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren and 50 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends; close friends, Ruthie Smith, Leatha Harmon and the Harmon Family, Jackie Leverette and Odessa Mack.  A special thank you to Dr. Penvose, Aultman hospital and Aultman Dialysis.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1403 13th Street SE, Canton, Ohio. Viewing will be prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Massey, eulogizing. Pastor Miles, officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
