Michael T. Seich
87, of Carrollton. Born Sept.17, 1929 in Canton, Ohio. He was the son of Michael L. and Anna Seich and the brother of Betty Seich) Gregory. He attended Central Catholic High School and on graduation served in the Air Force, Air Sea Rescue Division during the Korean War. He studied Pre -Law at St Joseph College, Ill. and Mount Union College. He worked as a para- legal. Mike retired from the U.S. Post Office and the Columbiana Co. M.R.D.D. He was a life long student always reading and learning new things. He loved his family, cartooning, carving fish and gardening.
He married Patricia (Jagodinski) Seich in 1952. They had six children, Paula (Troop) Bennett of Nebraska, Nancie (Ken) Burbick of Lisbon, Marcella (Mike) Owens of Mentor, Stephanie Seich of Dover, Kimberly Betz, of Willoughby, Thomas (Bridgett) Seich of Georgia; 13 grandchildren, Kaillyn Bennett, Lane Bennett, Sean (Kathy) Fritz, Byron (Chrissy) Fritz, Heather (Malcolm) Fritz , Taylor (Raymond) Yeager, Michael Owens Jr. , Brandon Owens, Samanth (Matt) Shafer, Matt (Kayla) Betz, Brody Betz, Andrew Betz, Anikin Seich. Seven great-grandchildren, Brooke, Cody and Gianna Fritz, Kailyn and Mahlon Frita, Eli Joe Shafer and Anikin Seich. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty; and Patricia, his wife of 59 yrs.
There will be no calling hours. A 10 a.m. mass will be said Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Dungannon, Ohio with burial after in St. Paul's Cemetery in Dungannon, Ohio. Instead of flowers, please send donations to the Smile Train organization, Hospice, or The Monestary of the Holy Cross in Carrollton.
