Raymond E. Keevert, age 67, died at Laurels of Massillon on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. He was born on Saturday, December 16, 1939, in Wheeling, WV and was son of the late Otto Z. and Thelma I. (Robinson) Keevert. He retired from Republic/LTV where he worked for over 44 years and belonged to the Steel Workers Union. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, AARP, enjoyed golf, bowling, was an avid fan of baseball and football. He served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964. He is survived by wife of nearly 34 years, Bonita K. (Stitz) Keevert of Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Ray Blair of Florida, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sue Stitz of Canton, and Dale and Jan Stitz of Massillon; nieces, nephews and grand nieces. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at 11 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Service-Jackson Chapel. Rev. Benson Akpora will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
