Rex V. Kerzan
87, of Navarre, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
He was born in Linton, IN on January 19, 1930 to the late Ralph and Eleanora (Recker) Kerzan and married Nancy A. Hall on January 5, 1968. She survives.
Rex was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a union electrician for 42 years having worked for Hilscher-Clarke Electric for 36 years. He was a member of Clinton Lodge #47 F&AM and the Tadmor Shrine. He was a member of Tuslaw Lions Club and Newcomer's Chapel of Pigeon Run. Rex enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, David Kerzan, Laurie (Dave) Ryder and Mike Kerzan; grandchildren, Jarett, Kyle, Adam, Luke and Aubrey Ryder; and a brother, Jerry (Nancy) Kerzan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Dudek.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Newcomer's Chapel of Pigeon Run United Methodist Church, 11789 Sarbaugh St SW, Massillon, OH 44647 with Pastor Kim Vanoster officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1-3:00 PM prior to services. Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster is handling the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center or Newcomer's Chapel of Pigeon Run United Methodist Church.
