Richard Glen Marker
age 69, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017, following an extended illness. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on Feb. 11, 1948, to Glen and Lois (George) Marker. As a child he performed all over the world as a member of the Tucson Boys Chorus. Richard was a 1966 graduate of Sunnyside Senior High School in Tucson, Ariz. Following high school he was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam. He retired from Republic Steel as an Armature Winder. Richard had a passion for the Cleveland sports teams, when they were winning it always made him smile.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Marker and brother, Robert E. Marker. Richard is survived by his son, Bryan R. (April Vogt) Marker; grandchildren, Nicholas Marker, Spencer Marker, and Stephen Vogt; father, Glen E. (Shirley) Marker; sister, Linda (Larry) Martynak of Tucson, Ariz.; ex-spouse and friend, Janet K. Marker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living Center and Brookdale Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Richard.
