71, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in Jacksonville, Fla. He was born on August 30, 1942, in Richwood, W.Va. to the late Hartzell and Goldie Paugh Crawford. Bob spent the majority of his life residing in Ohio. He also lived in Los Angeles, Ft. Wayne, Ind. and spent his final four and half years in The Village, Fla. After graduating from Fairless High School, Bob served proudly in the U.S. Army as a medic in Korea and remained enlisted until his honorable discharge in 1970. He worked at General Motors in California for seven years before taking a job testing rail for the Norfolk and Southern, where he spent 13 years working in 13 states. This took him to Indiana and eventually Ohio, where he settled down in Bellevue. He spent his last seven years with the Ford Motor Company. Bob greatly enjoyed golf, bow hunting aNd fishing with his brothers, wood working, classic cars, working in his yard and especially being a father.
He was a former member of the Massillon Baptist Temple, surviving is his wife, Joanne, whom he spent 48 wonderful years and his son, Peter of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Carl Crawford of Dover and Richard Crawford of Massillon, Ohio.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Massillon Baptist Temple at 1 p.m. with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
