On Friday, March 15, 2013, Robert L. Campbell was suddenly called home to be with his Heavenly Father. Bob was born in Middlebranch, Ohio on June 18, 1941 to the late Katherine M. and Wilbur L. Campbell. A graduate of Glenwood High School in 1959, Bob was active in musical productions and marching bands and was an accomplished trumpet player. He then continued his education at Bob Jones University and was involved in various youth ministries at Christian Tabernacle Church as well as with the national organization of Youth for Christ. Bob had a vivacious spirit of interaction with people of all walks of life. Eventually he turned to sales and management after working several years for the Hoover Company. He was Vice President in charge of Sales at Alliance Wholesalers. In time, Bob started his own business, Audio System Design Center, and redesigned sounds systems for many churches, hospitals, restaurants, businesses and homes in Northeast Ohio and Pennsylvania. He most recently worked part-time at Enterprise Auto Rental as a driver. Bob's personal interests included the hobby of photography and patriotic, multi-media, Americana presentations, traveling and a deep love for his family and pets. He was a Master Mason and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Valley of Canton.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; sisters, Carol and Jean Marie Campbell; brother, James (Pam) Campbell; son, Robert (Rochelle) Campbell; daughter, Julie (Charles) Josey; step-son, Scott (Cindy) Christian; step-daughter, Amy (Joseph Martin) Yankovich; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Taylor, Aaron, Hope, Alexandra, and Austin; nieces and nephews, Shannon (Todd) Karsies, Joel (Rebekah), Matthew (Katy) and Zackary.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW) from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 9 to 10 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Rob Campbell officiating.
