The life of Sherry K. Renier ended in the early morning hours of Dec. 28, 2013 at the age of 71 following a vigorous 14-year battle with end-stage renal disease. She was born July 5, 1942 in Alliance, the daughter of the late James and Florence (Hartman) Moran. She was a graduate of Louisville High School Class of 1960, Aultman School of Nursing Class of 1964 and Wills Eye Hospital for specialty training. Sherry was an employee of the Canton Eye Center and retired from Mercy hospital with over 30 years of dedicated service, including private scrub nurse for Dr. Lockhart, Dr. Niffenegger, and Dr. Nothnagel. She spent time in the Ukraine on medical missions in order to train and upgrade the medical procedures used in war ravaged under privileged areas. She was a great woman who touched the lives of everyone who came into contact with her. She spent her whole life helping, serving, and caring for others along with participating in the Lifebanc Organ Donor program. Sherry spent her final days under the wonderful care of the Roselawn Nursing Home staff. They loved and cared for her as if she was their own mother.
