May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
Susan Mary Scott Reed was born December 28, 1938 in Cleveland, to James A. Scott and Mary Edith Dwelle Scott. A brother, Ronald Scott (June), and a sister, Nancy Scott Benko (late Steve), also arrived and the family lived in East Cleveland until James passed away in 1948. The family then moved to Mary's hometown, Sandusky.
Sue met Bernard Leroy Reed at Bowling Green State University. Bernie and Sue married at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Cleveland, in 1961 and they were together until Sue's passing on Sunday, August 27, 2017. The couple lived in Lakewood, Ohio, where their daughters, Christine Renée Reed Lamb (Rev. Alan Lamb) and Cheryl Sue Reed Fahey were born. The family moved to Canton in 1964, living in several homes in Plain and Lake Townships, and in North Canton. Sue had a number of jobs, retiring in 1999. Sue was a long-time member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church where she served many years on the Altar Guild. In addition Sue was an active member of The Ladies Literary Club of North Canton and formerly the College Club of Canton, and Girl Scouts (troop leader). She liked to travel, play bridge and dominos, golf and more. Above all she loved spending time with her many friends and her family. Over the years, Sue had various cat companions in her home. Her family listed above, several nieces and nephews, and her cat Shadow, survive her.
