Thomas L. (Top Cat) Card 1933-2017
age 83, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2017. Thomas was born August 6, 1933 in Grey, Georgia. He departed this life July 13, 2017, after an extended illness. He worked for Canton Malleable/ Canton Castings for several decades; however retired from Union Metal. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a previous member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Tom, was an avid bowler and was captain of several leagues in the Canton/Stark County area.
He was preceded in death by devoted wife, Ruth O. Card. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Ronald (Elaine) Simmons; daughters: Shirley Ann Williams, Eunice Dotson, Dwinda Willis all of Canton, Ohio, Alice R. Jackson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; brothers, Moses (Rosita) Card of Washington, D.C., Joseph Card and Robert Card both of Canton; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Peoples Baptist Church, 701 - 17th St. S.E., Canton, Oh 44707. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Charles Prince will eulogize.
