Timothy I. Myers
57 of North Canton passed away on May 6, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born in Canton, Ohio on Oct. 29, 1956 to the late Glenn and Dawn (Roher) Myers. He was a graduate of Perry High School class of 1975, with advanced degrees from Stark Tech, The University of Akron, and advanced studies at Milwaukee School of Engineering. Tim was employed by the Timken Company for 35 years. During his long career at Timken his responsibilities included sales and service engineering as well as training and instruction of US and international personnel. Tim was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the American Bearing Manufacturing Association. He enjoyed bike riding with his weekend group as well as adventures hiking at Angel Falls, Venezuela, Mount Rainer, Granada, and the Thousand Steps of Huntingdon County, Pa. Tim's passions ranged from his motorcycles, cars and racing to his 'can do' attitude in taking on the building of his own home and helping others with similar projects.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kathy (Saylor) and daughter Angela: brother Thomas (Linda) Myers: sister Tamela (Jerry) Schaeffer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday May 11, 2014 from 3- 6 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday May 12, 2014, with visitation one hour prior, at the Faith United Methodist Church, 300 9th St. NW North Canton, Ohio 44720 with Pastors Cara Stultz-Costello and Thomas O. Myers officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's name may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church Annual Youth Mission Trip. Checks should be made payable to: FUMC-Youth Mission Fund and mailed to the church address above.
