Vallerie Miles 1932-2017
Made her transition to her new Heavenly home on July 23, 2017 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Vallerie was born April 30, 1932 in Malvern, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas J. Snell and Mary C. (Kelley) Snell. After the premature death of her mother, she was raised by her maternal grandparents, Alex & Nora (Pryor) Kelley. Vallerie was a graduate of Malvern High School where she was later employed as a Teacher's Aide in the Elementary School for 25 years. Vallerie was united in marriage for 57 years to the late Paschol P. Miles on July 11, 1954. After having received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord at an early age, Vallerie became a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Malvern; having served in various capacities including the Deaconess Board, and Kitchen Committees. She was a phenomenal cook and is best known for her gifts of help and hospitality.
Vallerie is survived by her children, Beverly Miles, Debra (Charles) Brown and Paschol Miles, Jr.; six grandsons, Cameron (Desiree) Miles, Christopher (Tara) Brown, Chadwick (Alexandra) Brown, Chandler (Angela) Brown, Clayton Brown (Lauryn Coleman-fiancee), and Collin Brown; eight great-grandchildren, Victoria, Carter, Madelyn, Trenton, Natalie, Grayson, Aubrey and soon to arrive Cooper Brown. Vallerie is also survived by her sisters, Annette Jones, Sharon (Charles) Brown; and her brother, William Snell all of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Catherine Miles; nephew and nieces, Reginald (Denise) Kelley, Cynthia Frazier-Keller and Carmella Puccio.
The Reed Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Malvern, 311 S. Carrollton St. Malvern, Ohio with a Homegoing Service to follow at 12:30 p.m. with Minister Cameron P. Miles, eulogizing. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
