Victoria Vicki Colucy Obituary
Victoria “Vicki” Colucy
71, of Brewster, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia from complications due to ALS. She was born in Massillon on Jan. 11, 1946 to the late Bruno and Millie (DeAngelis) Musacchia and married Carter Colucy on Oct. 17, 1966. He survives. Vicki had a strong faith that helped her cope and fight her devastating disease. Her greatest concern after she was diagnosed was how her disease was affecting her family and friends.
There was never a day that went by without her praying her rosary and other prayers. Prayers were not just for healing of herself, but for her whole family as well as her many friends. Vicki was an avid shopper who was known for finding great deals. She loved bus trips and found pleasure in her adventures. She belonged to two different card clubs for over 30 years and loved out-doing the ladies with her flare for table décor and coordinating napkins. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brewster.
In addition to her husband Carter, she is survived by children, Todd (Cindy) Colucy of New Philadelphia, Laura (Larry) White of Uhrichsville and Chris Colucy of Brewster; grandchildren, Chaz, Katie, Olivia, Forest, Carter, Sydney and Elyse; brothers, Ronald (Patricia) Musacchia of Brooksville, Fla. and Joseph (Emmy) Musacchia of Brewster; and a sister, Rita (Mary Burns) Musacchia of Dayton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10a.m. at Holy Family Parish, formerly known as St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster, with Father Mike Seifert officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clement Cemetery in Navarre. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home, 209 Chestnut Street, NW, Brewster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW in New Philadelphia or to Holy Family Parish in Brewster.
