'Together Again'
Wesley W. First
89 formerly of Manchester died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013. Wesley was born Sept. 3, 1924 in Clinton, Ohio to the late Clarence E. and Lorena Branstetor First. He was a 1942 graduate of Doylestown High School, attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy and proudly served in the US Navy and Merchant Marines during World War II. Wesley retired in 1986 after 33 years service with Marathon Oil in the Sales and Real Estate Division. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, golf and family. He will be missed by his friends and caring staff at Greenview Senior Assisted Living Community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marleane M. First, in 2010; son, Wesley First, Jr.; sisters, Lillie First, Thelma Parsons, Dora Blotter and Lovella Walker; brothers, Chester First, Alfred First and Lowell First
He is survived by sons, Paul (Joyce) First, Norman (Carol) First and Phillip (Alison) First; daughter-in-law, Gayle First; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Onieda Hoosier, Nora Studer, Coralie Hobbs and Darlene DiPietro; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service THURSDAY 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry Street (Rte. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rev. Roderick Grabski officiating. Burial Newmans Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home WEDNESDAY 5-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to time of service.

I remember Wes from Greenview Inn, where my mother use to live. What a sweet man of God. Always a smile and good word for others. I'll always remember his beautiful voice and faithfulness to feed the birds. My deepest sympathy to his family
