'Together Again'
Willard "Bill" A. Sherwood
94 of Alliance went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 16, 2014. Bill was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on Feb. 13, 1920 to the late Bayard and Etha Sherwood. He served in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific. Bill was employed by Magnolia Mining Co. for 30 years and SJ Groves for 20 years. He was very active with his church Grace Community of Massillon, a very avid boater and will be greatly missed by his family.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Avis; son, Robert W. Sherwood; granddaughter, Stacey Sherwood; brother, Wayne and sister, Nona. He is survived by son, Jack (Judy) Sherwood of Uniontown; daughter, Denise (Don) Watson of Minerva; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Junior (Debbie) Sherwood.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL with Rev. Michael Bragg officiating. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
