Shanahan
Age 97, of Massillon passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Amherst Meadows Senior Care Center. She was born Dec. 4, 1912 in Shinnston, W.Va. the daughter of the late Seymour and Nanette (Swiger) Anderson. Lillian was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. During World War II she was a volunteer plane spotter in New York, and in younger years was an avid golfer.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. (Ed) Jordan of Massillon; grandchildren, Sue (Dan) McCurley, Trish (John) Hostetler, and Bob (Jennifer) Jordan; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Shanahan July 8, 1999.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday April 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Lillian's memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE is assisting the family with arrangements. Patty, was sorry to see the passing of your Mom. She was a great lady and I will remember her from the Beauty shop at Thompson's. She love life and I'm sure she is golfing with your Dad now and enjoying her eternal life with him.

I would like to say how sorry I was to here of Lillians passing. I took care of her at Amherst Meadows she was always a pleasure to care for. She will be deeply missed by all of us on Day shift.
