'Together Again'
Sara Jane Brown (nee Fisher)
Age 92, of Seven Hills, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. She was born in Canton on June 24, 1921, the daughter of Elah Cletus Fisher and Addie Fisher (nee Hayes). Jane married Archie S. Brown (deceased May 2010) on September 21, 1944 in Canton. She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and Kent State University and the Western Reserve School of Library Science. Jane was employed at the Cleveland Public Library, the Akron Public Library, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), and the North Royalton Public Library. She volunteered as librarian at the former Crile Hospital in Parma Hts., the Blossom Hill School for Girls, and N. Royalton Methodist Church. She was also a 30-year volunteer with the Parma Hospital Auxiliary, and sang with the Parma Mothersingers. Jane enjoyed camping, traveling to many States and two trips to England and Scotland, and golfing with Archie.
She is survived by her son, David G. Brown (Sharon) of Columbus; and her daughter, Lynn Ginter (Larry) of Parma; her grandchildren, Christine Rocks (Jon) of Columbus, Scott G. Brown (Sarah) of Columbus, Diane Smith (Ethan) of Cleveland, Joanne Ginter of Parma, and Mark Ginter of Parma, and nine great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her brother Cletus Fisher.
Funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. Rev. Gary Lawson, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church for the Deaf, Cleveland, will officiate. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Private entombment will be held at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Cletus G.
