Edward J. Unkefer
age 63 of Louisville passed away March 25, 2014 in Aultman Hospital. He was born May 2, 1950 in Canton the son of the late Orin and Margaret (Cholley) Unkefer. Ed believed in the love of the Lord Jesus. He took great pride in America and served his country in the United States Army as a crew chief door gunner on the aircraft Charlie 16 Dark Horse during the Viet Nam War. Ed was the owner and President of Buck Hill Fabricating, Inc. The most important thing in his life was his family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed making others laugh. He loved and nurtured all animals, enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and lived life to the fullest. Ed will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by two daughters, Nichole Unkefer-Farnsworth and her husband, Rex Farnsworth and Suzette Unkefer; brothers, Paul and Donald Unkefer; grandchildren, Kyleigh Hess, Charles Hess, Kiersten McDonald, Joshua McDonald, Marissa Farnsworth and Gabrielle Duplain; half brother, Charles Unkefer; half sisters, Marilyn Roger and Bonnie Jo Grogg; and the mother of his children, Penny Jo Unkefer.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Larry Frient officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Edward's family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
