Judy A. (Paul) McDonald-
age 73, of Ocala, Fla., died Sunday, March 16, 2014 after a short illness. Born in Massillon, she had lived in Canton until 2000 when she split her time between Ohio and Florida. She was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School and earned an associate degree from Stark Technical College. Judy was retired from the Shipley Well Baby Clinic. She was a former member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist where she was a member of the choir and had been active in the Canton Players Guild. Judy enjoyed sewing, quilting and the Cleveland Browns.
Survived by her husband, Richard Washburn of the home; daughter, Mary Anne Okey of Canton; four sons and three daughters-in-law, James McDonald and his partner, John Zimmerman and Kevin and Sharon McDonald of Canton, Mark and Lynn McDonald of Cincinnati and Jeffery and Laurie McDonald of Benton, Ark.; step-daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Walter Butler of Texas, stepson and wife, Van and Cassie Washburn of Aurora; five grandchildren, Ellen, Andrew and Alexandra McDonald and Elizabeth and Sarah Okey; mother, Juliet Paul of Massillon; seven sisters and five brothers-in-law, Jeanne Paul of Zanesville, Joan Boswell of Arizona, Janice and Mike Slicker of Delaware, Ohio, Joyce and Bob Mitcheal, Julie and Kelly Murphy, Jane and Michael Petcavage, and Jeri and Dave Geisinger all of Massillon; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Patty Paul, Darryl and Chris Paul, Duane and Marcia Paul and Doug and Terri Paul all of Massillon. Preceded in death by her first husband, William F. McDonald, father, Arvine Paul and a brother, David Paul.
Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for a Mass of Christian Burial with The Very Reverend Ronald Klingler as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joseph Indian School, P.O.
