Virginia "Tookie" Clark
age 73, of Louisville, Ohio, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Linn, W.Va. on July 29, 1940 to the late, Everett and Chloe Messenger. Virginia was a 1958 graduate of East Canton High School. She was an active member of Center Church of the Brethren and held Bible study in her home. She enjoyed painting and had some of her pieces shown in art shows. Virginia will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Clark and her granddaughter, Samatha Clark Bartholow. Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela Bartholow-Franklin of Bradenton, Fla. and Loraine Oyer of Ellenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Rick, Ed, Zeb, Josh, Elisha, Stephanie and Jake; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Linerode of Smithton, Ill. and Sharon Darr of Massillon; one brother, Richard Hoagland of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. in Center Church of the Brethren 2801 Ravenna Ave. NE, Louisville, OH 44641, with Pastor Paul Bozeman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to Center Church of the Brethren. The Reed Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
