age 78, died Saturday. He was born Feb. 6, 1936 in Heard County, Ga. to the late Baltimore E. Strickland and Lola (Ware) Strickland. He attended Stateline School in Glen, Georgia. Bobby came to Canton in the early 1950's where he met and married the love of his life Georgia B. Plummer on June 30, 1956. He had worked at various car dealerships as a detailer, owned his own detailing business, worked at Ekco Houseware and later for the Held Company until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Baltimore Gus 'B.G', Jesse 'J.C.' , Albert and Oscar and two sisters, Carrie O. Strickland-Boykins and Glema L. Strickland-Bradfield. Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Georgia of the home, four children, Robin J. (Valley Village, Calif.), Bobby E. Jr. (Newport, Tenn.), Twila J. (Danny) Jackson (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Lincoln E. (Amy) (Columbia/Fort Mills, S.C.), three siblings, Frank (Franklin, Ga.), Rose Bernice Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) and Horace (Detroit, Mich.), nine grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter, very special loving sister-in-law, Elizabeth Strickland, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and very caring and devoted caregiver, Cozetta Smith. The family would like to thank the staff of Aultman Home Hospice for their compassionate care.
Services will be Thursday at 12 noon at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Prince officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home and Thursday from 11 a.m.-12 Noon at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
