Robert K. 'Bob' Condo
86, of Dover was delivered into God's grace Tues, April 15, 2014 surrounded by his children at Affinity Medical Center at Massillon. Born May 20, 1927 in Germano, Ohio he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Neidenthal Condo.
Bob was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Condo; daughter, Carolyn Sue Condo; great-grandson, Henry Williams and two brothers, James and Daniel Condo.
Bob proudly served his country with the Merchant Marines during World War II. Following his service, he was the owner and operator of the former Condo's Transmission in Dover and finally, retired from Superior Dairy. Bob was an avid bowler and stock car driver who was inducted into the Tuscarawas County Racing Hall of Fame in 2003. He was gifted with the ability to fix just about anything and enjoyed tinkering with cars or inventing solutions to life's everyday mechanical problems. Bob loved nature, its creatures and always anxiously awaited mushroom season.
Bob will be greatly missed by his family that includes his children, Scott (Georgiane) Condo of New Philadelphia, Jan (Eric) Howland of Malvern and Holly Condo of Illinois; brother, William (Nancy) Condo of Massillon; sister, Shirley Ady of Brewster; step son, Tim Belle of Texas; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; good friends, Keith Espenschied and Bill Wagner and his faithful dog Snowee III.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgcrest Memory Gardens.
