Born May 9, 1918 passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Robinson; son, Samuel E. Robinson Jr; daughter, Mary E. Miller; sons-in-law, Ronald Kiefer and Charles Miller; infant grandchildren, Dwight and Douglas Ailing.
Survived by daughters, Sandra Kiefer and Jean (George) Ailing; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, whom loved her dearly. Nan spent her life caring for family members, sewing our clothes, cooking our favorite meals and attending our activities. She also had the opportunity to travel and was always taking at least one, often more, of the grandchildren with her and Pop, as they spent time at the family farm in Noble County, Ohio. where she was born and raised. She was the family genealogist and her stories of life will be well remembered through the generations. She passed on her gifts of gardening, sewing, crafting, antiquing and her superior knowledge of Ohio history to all and kept us all together even though we are seperated by distance. Nan was a longtime, devoted and faithful member of Westminster Community Church. The family would like to express gratitude to Vitas Hospice, McCrea Manor and Canton Regency Assisted Living for their TLC during these past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westminster Community Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Those wishing, may sign the on-line guestbook at: www.reedfuneralhome.com
