79, of Canton, went peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 2, 2014.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 61 years, Bettie Carver Boone; and his three adoring daughters, Sharon Boone Stuckey of Roanoke, Va., Theresa Boone Mayle; and husband, Roger of Massillon and Brenda Boone Vanest and husband, Terry of Canton. Bob is also the beloved older brother of Nancy Boone Holbert, Carl C. Boone, Jimmy D. Boone and Claudette Boone Jones all of Knoxville, Tenn. Bob is lovingly remembered by his eight precious grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren with the 13th soon to be born.
Bobby Daniel Boone was born on April 14, 1935 in Asheville, N.C. He graduated from Woodfin High School in 1953. Bob retired from Seiple Lithograph in 1977 after 33 years of service. Bob served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Louisville for over 40 years. His greatest joy in life was leading his family and countless others to a saving knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ. "Only one life, will soon past, only what's done for Christ will last." The family will receive visitors at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 6 and from 10-11 a.m. Monday July 7. The funeral/remembrance service will be held Monday July 7 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
