Charles E. 'Chuck' Leuenberger
age 84, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville. He was born April 28, 1926 in Washington Twp, to the late Arnold and Mary (Moser) Leuenberger. Chuck was the long time owner operator of the former Chuck's Mens & Boys Fashions in Louisville and had received an award for being Ohio retailer of the year. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a life member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville, serving as a Deacon and Elder of the church, a member and past master of Julliard Lodge # 460 F. & A.M of Louisville, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and the Tadmor Temple of Akron.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean (Anderson) Leuenberger; a daughter, Mary Alice (Joe) Morgan of Oak Harbor, Ohio; two sons, Bob (Vicki) Leuenberger and Scott (Lee Ann Riter) Leuenberger, all of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Anne (Mike) Gotschall, Matt (Erin) Leuenberger, Curtis Leuenberger, Ashley (Pete) Keller, Amanda Leuenberger, Lisa Morgan and Lindsey Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Taryn and Owen Gotschall, Mya and Chloe Leuenberger.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Paradise United Church of Christ with Pastor Cathy Arble officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Masonic services will be 5:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville, Oh.
