Robert L. "Bob" Sarver In Memoriam
Robert ' Bob' L. Sarver
80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 26, 2011. Bob was born December 15, 1930 in Akron, Ohio to Edgar and Hattie Sarver. He served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves in the Lighter than Air Division. Bob worked as a draftsman for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company retiring in 1995. He and his wife, Jackie are members at Trinity United Church of Christ in Canal Fulton, where they served the church helping with various fundraisers. Bob enjoyed creating stain glass art, golfing, bowling, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Sarver is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jackie; sons, Randall (Vicki), Larry (Sharon), Dennis (Julie), Gary (Kim); daughter, Debra (Doug) Meadows; brother, Dale (MaryLee) Sarver; sister, Marvel Lieving; step-sister, Beverly Dobbins; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Trinity United Church of Christ of Canal Fulton 8101 Manchester Ave. NW, Canal Fulton on Thursday, June 2, from 4 – 6 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m., Reverend Gene Kraus officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ of Canal Fulton in memory of Mr. Sarver.
