Age 75, of Magnolia, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, in Aultman Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 18, 1936, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Michael and Frances (DiDente) Pariano, and was a life resident of this area. Frank graduated in the last class from Magnolia High School in 1954, where he starred on the basketball team as a center, and was honored by induction into the Stark County Amatuer Basketball Association Hall of Fame in 2005. On Jan. 10, 1959, Frank married the love of his life, Jo Diane Dagenhard. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1959-1961 stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After completing his tour, he went to work for Republic Steel, from which he retired after 36 years. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time, building various gifts for family, friends, and neighbors; birdhouses were his specialty. Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Allen (Duke) Pariano.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jo Diane; son, Frank, Jr. and wife, Laura (McKinney), of Magnolia; son, John and wife, Renee (Davidson), of Magnolia; grandchildren, Alaina (Pariano) and Jared Beck, of Los Angeles, Barbara Pariano, of Magnolia, John Pariano II and fiancée, Danielle Tully, of Brewster, Zachary and Kyle Pariano, of Magnolia; sister Elaine (Pariano) and Gary Chaddock, of Minerva; brother, Michael and Rae Pariano, of Canton, brother, Tom and Lisa Pariano, of Bolivar; sister-in-law, Linda Pariano, of East Sparta; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
As he wished, Frank's body has been donated to the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine (NEOUCOM). No public services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank's memory may be made to NEOUCOM, 4209 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272.
