84, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. Loren was born in Dundee, Ohio to his late parents, John D. and Florence Snyder. Loren grew up in Dover, Ohio and lived all of his adult life in Canton and Massillon, with his late loving wife of nearly 51 years, Lucille V. Snyder. He is preceded in death by his only brother, Robert Snyder.
Loren will be missed by his three children who were by his side his last several hours, Jeffrey A. Snyder of Louisville, Ohio, Cheryl L. Jennings of Dublin, Ohio and Susan C. Sweet of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Loren is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Snyder II, Jared D. Snyder, Lauren T. Jennings, Alison H. Jennings, Jacob Snyder, Jessa Snyder; and two great-grandchildren, Emily L. Snyder and Jeffrey A. Snyder III. Loren graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946 and was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad for 42 years. He was an avid collector and connoisseur of railroad memorabilia, coins, antiques, and clocks. Loren also loved to travel and visited several dozen countries, leading many tour groups in Israel and the Middle East.
Loren was placed to rest at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre, Ohio after a private ceremony with his children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers and cards, memorial contributions my be made to the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, c/o the James Development Office, 660 Ackerman Road, P.O.
