Marilyn 'Kay' (Markling) Krauter
age 87, died Wednesday after a joyous life on earth. She was a life resident of Canton and a 1943 graduate of Mt. Marie Academy and a 1947 graduate of The Ohio State University. Kay had been an elementary school teacher at Clarendon Elementary School but her chosen profession was homemaker and mother and loved it. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Preceded in death by her husband, Dean Krauter and a daughter, Katherine Denutte.
Survived by a daughter, Dee Krauter of Canton; daughter of her heart, Debbie Stephan of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Krauter of North Canton; son-in-law, Frank Denutte of Powell; five grandsons, Brian (Masaki) and Michael (Ami) Denutte and Michael (Ashley), Adam, and Andrew Krauter; two great-granddaughters, Miruki and Ashley Denutte; sister, Carol Johnson Oberlin of North Canton; brother and sister-in-law, James Jr. and June Markling of Canton; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Donald King as Celebrant. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
