Harold E. Lorey
Age 100, of Canton, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. He was born May 17, 1912, in Akron, Ohio, to the late John and Laura (Wunderlich) Lorey. Harold was a Canton resident since 1940; and retired Echo Housewares in 1974 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Canton, Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge #233, VFW Post #3747, founding member of the Canton Bass Club, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Garnet (Karcher) Lorey in 1986; one son, John Lorey in 2005; one sister, Dorothy Woodward. He is survived by one daughter, Jean Lorey Duncan of Canton; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Lorey of Hermiston, Ore.; four grandchildren an spouses: John and LynnBeth Lorey, Kelly Biekie, Darrell and Heather Duncan, Jr., Darren and Joanna Duncan; 11 great-grandchildren: Jack, Julia and Kainoah Lorey, Erin, Amber, Rachel, MacKenzie, Nina, David, Michael and Anthony Duncan.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
