Jerry Lee Stertzbach
69 of Canton, Ohio, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 19 at Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon. He was born on Dec. 20, 1943 to Harold and Dorothy (Douglas) Stertzbach. He married Juanita (Williams) in 1983. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment from 1966-1972 and was a member of the Black Horse. He retired from the Timken Company in 1994, and then continued to work the March of Dimes with his wife for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet (Al) Cotham.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; two sons from his first marriage, Andrew and Amy (Rhoads) of Horse Shoe, N.C., and Jason and Belinda (Sayre) of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Springer of Jeanette, Pa. and Kim (Ray) Secrest of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Marie (Carl) Betz, Ellie (Larry) Lautzenheiser, Linda (Fred) Torres, Kathy (Bill) Malone; brothers, Harold Jr. (Marian), John (Faye), Richard (Marcia); granddaughters, Rachel, Jasper, Sarah and Hannah; step-grandchildren, Emily, Evan and Misty; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private service for the family will be held on Saturday, June 22. Condolences and support can be sent to Juanita, at Rose Lane Health Center.
