Bernard Eugene 'Bernie'
Hannaman
age 90, died Wednesday after a brief illness Born in Akron, he lived in the Stark County area most of his life until moving to Marshallville twelve years ago. He was a University of Akron graduate and was a retired accountant. Bernard was a member of the Marshallville American Legion and the Orrville V.F.W. He was a World War II Army veteran and was awarded two Purple Hearts.
Preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Hannaman and two brothers, Ralph and Carlos Hannaman. Survived by a daughter, Jeanne Sue Johnson of Arizona; step daughter, Sharyn Gates of Atwood Lake; four grandchildren, Sarah R. Johnson and Samuel W. Johnson of Arizona, Victor (Michelle) Heffner of Cleveland Hts. and Dr. Christopher (Shawn DeGraw) Heffner of Seattle, Washington; three great- grandchildren, Danielle and Evan Heffner and Hayley Gates; and his companion, Gladys Werntz of Marshallville and her two daughters, Nancy (Jay) Russell of Rittman and Ruth (Terry) Dalessandro of Orrville.
Services will be held Saturday, at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. Jacquie McMillen officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Saturday, from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may be made to:
