Donald B. Wingerter

Donald B. Wingerter passed away at home on Jan. 21, 2013, after a short illness at age 90.
Donald was born in Erie, Pa., and later moved to Red Bank, N.J. Don served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was in the 81st Airborn Division out of Fort Benning, Ga. Don graduated from the Rutgers University School of Engineering and was a member of Tau Beta Pi.
After graduating, Don began working for Johns Manville Corp. in New York City for 14 years, then moved to Evergreen with the company in 1972. He was vice president of quality control.
Don is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ouida Burns Wingerter; daughter Dianne Robinson, son Don Wingerer Jr., and son-in-law Jim Robinson; and four grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Nat Robinson, Taylor Wingerter and Nicole Wingerter Ellenwood
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Rockland Community Church, 17 S. Mt. Vernon Country Club Road, Golden, CO 80401.
