Charles Herbert Jordan, 86, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at 10:11 p.m. He was a native of Denver and resident of Houma, La.
Visitation was Aug. 10, 2017, until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, La. A Mass of Christian Burial was held after visitation with burial at St. Frances De Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Duplantis Jordan; sons Charles William Jordan Sr. of Euless, Texas, and Reese Jay Jordan of Denver; daughter Kristi Kay Jordan Wells and husband David of Brighton; grandchildren Jennifer Kay Jordan Quinonez, Kelli Jo Jordan, Samantha Lynn Jordan, Charles William Jordan Jr., Audrey Marie Jordan and Katie Ann Jordan; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter William Jordan and Lucille Malcom Jordan; and sister Carol Lee Jordan.
Charles was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a general insurance adjuster specializing in business interruption claims for 65 years, retiring this past October.
He was an avid hunter, returning each year to Colorado for elk season, enjoying the hunting season with lifelong friends for 50 years. He also loved fishing, golfing, woodworking and boating. He spent many hours in his workshop creating custom pieces for his home.
