Clarence John Sakry (1946 - 2017)

Clarence John Sakry died peacefully at his home on Oct. 7, 2017, in Conifer at the age of 71.
John was born on Feb. 6, 1946, in Chicago to Clarence and Pearl Sakry and was raised with his three older siblings in Leadville. John was founder and owner of Alpine Excavating, serving the Evergreen and surrounding communities for the last 25 years.
Outside of excavating, John's passions were skiing, fishing for salmon in the Pacific Northwest, hot rods, the Denver Broncos and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and sense of humor.
John is survived by his children, Cher Darling, Jon Sakry, Paul Sakry and Savannah Sakry, as well as his sister Peg Dare. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pearl Sakry, and siblings Paul Sakry and Sharon Williams. 
A private ceremony will take place in Buena Vista for the family.
