Edith (Eadie) Ann Pierce (née Dunn) died peacefully at her home in Evergreen on Jan. 7, 2018, after suffering from dementia for many years.
Born in Cleveland on Feb. 24, 1933, she grew up in Bay Village, Ohio. Eadie graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., in 1954 with a degree in dietetics. She worked in Stouffer's experimental kitchen in Chicago before marrying college sweetheart Robert M. Pierce, an Evergreen builder, on Feb. 26, 1955, in River Forest, Ill.
They resided in Aurora, Ill., and Denton, Texas, before moving to Colorado in 1983. Eadie enjoyed spending time in the Southwest and at their cabin in Red River, N.M., and cooking for her family.
Surviving loved ones include her husband of 62 years, Bob Pierce; their four children: Karen Pierce (Ken Piner) of Evergreen, Greg Pierce of Evergreen, Marcia Steele (Jeff) of Leadville and Gail Pierce of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; four grandchildren: Skylar Steele (Katie), Shelby Monroe (Devin), Nick Pierce and Shanan Pierce; and sisters Donna Killen of Conifer and Barbara Dever of Thornton, Pa.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Honney.
