Jimmy Errol Bashore of Pine passed away early Friday morning, July 7, 2017, after a battle with cancer.
Jimmy was born Feb. 9, 1943, in West Reading, Pa., to Roy Wilbur and Sue Kathryn (Houncker) Bashore and was raised in Wernersville, Pa.
He is preceded in death by an older sister, Shirley Stifnagle of Meyerstown, Pa., while brother Stephen Bashore lives in West Reading, Pa., and sister Stephene (Bashore) Naspinsky lives in Frackville, Pa.
His two sons, Roy Alan Bashore, wife Danelle of Cathlamet, Wash., and Lee Jeffrey Bashore, wife Heather of Littleton as well as five grandchildren - Miranda, Morgan, Jordyn, Logan, and Kendall - are grateful to have had him in their lives. His spouse of 52 years, Judy, is completely lost without him.
Jimmy was lovingly known as "Grampy" to his grandchildren, and he was a caring and present grandfather.
He worked for more than 20 years with Independent Propane, where his coworkers became family and his office was the foothills.
He was a reliable, kind man with a witty - and sometimes baffling - sense of humor, and his close friends and family love and miss him dearly.
A graveside service was held on July 17, 2017, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
