A longtime resident of Evergreen, Tom Janaky passed away on Aug. 19, 2014.

He was an accomplished sales and marketing executive who for more than 30 years led those efforts as vice president in the startup of Tour Alaska Inc., Colorado Railcar Manufacturing, Alaska Cruise Train and GrandLuxe Rail Journeys.
He will long be remembered for his innovative contributions to the growth of the Alaska tourism industry and rail tourism throughout North America. He was a friend to hundreds of travel agents across America.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne Janaky; children Vicky Janaky, Terri and Ralph Coplin, and Todd and Lisa Janaky; parents Frank and Virginia Janaky; extended family Angela Eggelston, Randall Lafollette, Robin and Clint Johnson, Wendy and Dart McGregor; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Breck Fife.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Memorial in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at 1 p.m.
