William Bird Mounsey of Evergreen died Nov. 11, 2012.
He was the beloved husband of Harriet Louise; father of Diana (John) Donovan, Sharon Mounsey, Maureen (Kimley) Brown and Heidi (Timothy) Crangle; grandfather of 10; and great-grandfather of 13.
Mounsey was retired with the U.S. Army, having served with the 10th Mountain Division, and the Americal Division in the South Pacific.
He was an advocate for wilderness preservation, the environment and his Evergreen community. He earned many medals and honors for his endeavors.
