William "Bill" Deroo, also known as "Wild Bill," 84, of Greeley passed away Oct. 3, 2013, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.

He was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Greeley to Henry Martin and Elizabeth (Zeegers) Deroo.
He grew up in Gilcrest and graduated from Gilcrest High School. On Sept. 14, 1950, he married Marjorie Fletcher in Platteville. Bill was a well-respected troubleshooter for Public Service of Colorado.
Bill and Marge loved traveling the world, acquiring antiques - especially cars and pedal cars - and polka dancing whenever and wherever possible.
He was a longtime volunteer firefighter in Evergreen and a lifetime member of the Elks Club in Evergreen; he was one of the original members.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marge Deroo of Greeley; daughter Janet Deroo (Maria Bolner) of Whidbey Island, Wash.; son Dean Deroo of Oak Harbor, Wash.; grandchildren Khori Deroo-Bolner of Seattle, Krista Greenwell of California, and Marla Deroo of Arizona; brother Alfred (Jean) Deroo of California; a sister-in-law, Shirley Deroo of Greeley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wilfred and Jack; and sister Delores.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Patricia's Sports Bar, 217 1st St. in Fort Lupton, Colo. Lunch will be provided; an R.S.V.P. would be appreciated to 303-857-6810 or email@example.com.
