Maxine Tresia Logan, 86, of Evergreen passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2013.
Tresia was born in Topeka, Kan., and attended Topeka High School, then went on to Washburn University, also in Topeka, majoring in psychology. While at Washburn, Tresia joined Delta Gamma Sorority and was a member for 67 years. Tresia enjoyed tennis and golf in her younger years and spent time modeling when she wasn't busy raising her five children. A consummate mother and homemaker, Tresia was a gourmet cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Over the years she collected a large library of cookbooks from around the world. She also loved to watch food and cooking channels. She was a football fan and enjoyed watching Broncos games on TV. Tresia lived in Denver, Atherton, Calif., and Montecito, Calif. (Santa Barbara), before settling down in Evergreen in 1990.
She is survived by her brother Glenn of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Marc (Wendy) of Denver and Jeff (Lisa) of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two daughters, Michelle (Richard) of Salem, Ore., Lisa (Jean-Michel) of Geneva, Switzerland, and her daughter-in-law Linda of Cambria, Calif. Tresia was blessed to have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Tresia was preceded in death by her middle son, Christopher (Linda) of Morro Bay, Calif.; her ex-husband, Henry, of Santa Ynez, Calif.; and her brother Jack (Phyllis) of Shawnee Mission, Kan.
Tresia requested an intimate memorial followed by the spreading of her ashes in Santa Barbara.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Max Fund Cat Shelter of Denver in the name of her beloved cat, Baby Doll.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
