Dennis Crouse

CROUSE, DENNIS ROBERT, "Mr. Nice" passed away on May 9, 2013 due to liver transplant complications. He was 66 years young. He was a resident of Annapolis, MD for 30+ years as well as part time resident of Rehoboth Beach, DE for 40+ years. Born in Williamsport, PA, Dennis loved basketball and the Washington Redskins. He played for Williamsport High School until he graduated in 1964. He continued his love of basketball at Lycoming College and Camp Lejeune. He served in Vietnam and was awarded two purple hearts as a Combat Engineer. Dennis enjoyed life to the fullest, had the best sense of humor, hearty laugh, his special crazy dance and was always willing to assist anyone in need. He will forever remain a legendary bartender in the Washington, DC, Rehoboth and Annapolis neighborhoods. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Crouse of Williamsport, PA, and brother Martin Crouse of Westport, CT. He is also survived by sister-in law, Laurie Crouse, nephew Cimarron, niece Alyssa, brother-in-law, Jon Dworkow, former wife Diana Ohtersen and countless friends. Funeral services will be held at Ft. Myer Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:00 am, followed immediately by interment at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. The Funeral procession will begin at 9:30am with escort from Arlington National Cemetery Main Gates/Administration Building to Ft. Myer Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warriors Project, in memory of Dennis R. Crouse will be appreciated.
