Frances Stinchcomb

Frances Roberta Pyles Stinchcomb "Aunt Annie", 77, a 60-year resident of Millersville died August 31 of natural causes at home. Born December 19, 1935 in Bowie, Mrs. Stinchcomb attended Ann Arundel County Schools. She worked as a nursery school teacher in the Odenton area. She was a member of Our Lady of Fields Catholic Church in Millersville. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her cats, and feeding the birds in her yard. She also enjoyed crabbing. Mrs. Stinchcomb was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Stinchcomb, whom she married March 26, 1954 and who died April 30, 1997; three brothers, James T. Pyles, Franklin Pyles, and Elvin F. Pyles Jr.; and three sisters, Alice Edna Bergman, Mary E. Calloway, and Theresa R. Salazar. She is survived by her brother, Bernard Pyles Sr. of Millersville; sister, Evelyn Stinchcomb of Crownsville; and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until funeral begins at 12 noon, Friday at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
