John Herman Groh, 64, of Chester, died December 6 at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Born on March 3, 1948, he was the son of the late John and Camille Groh. In 1971, he married the former Nancy Elizabeth Sherman. Mr. Groh joined the Annapolis Police Department on March 15, 1973, where he worked for 25 years. After his retirement, he stayed with the Annapolis Police as a civilian employee until 2010. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge
In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, he is survived by three grown children, James John Groh, Eric Wayne Groh and April Lynn Groh; and four grandchildren, Rodney, Dylan, Sydney and Wyatt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 11, at the Elks Lodge 2576, 2525 Romancoke Rd., Stevensville.
