William Cowley

William C. Cowley, 87, a resident of Linthicum, died August 6 at his residence. He was born in Baltimore November 11, 1925 to the late Lionel and Anna Cowley. Mr. Cowley served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II from 1944 until 1946. He was a member of the VFW in Dundalk and the American Legion #0195. He was also a member of the Glen Burnie Moose and the Corinthiac Masonic Lodge #93, and the Nomad Hunting Club where he served as President. Mr. Cowley was employed as a trouble shooter lineman with BG&E for 37 years, retiring in 1985 and as a self-employed Master electrician for all of his working life. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cowley is preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years, Helen Joy Cowley; son, William R. Cowley; and two brothers, Lionel and Andrew Cowley He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dottie A. Cowley; his daughter, Kimberly A. Renehan and her husband Joe of Westminster; his daughter-in-law, Karen L. Cowley; four step-children, Craig Roper, Kimberly Schneider, Mark Roper, and Susan Neglia; six grandchildren, Chrissy Cowley Williams, Catherine M. Wheat, Carrie Cowley, Tori Cowley, Joseph Renehan III, and R. Christian Renehan; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
