Frederick Byron Obituary



Frederick Charles Byron, Sr., 89, formerly of Westminster, Riva, and Glen Burnie, Md., passed away peacefully on Friday March 11, 2016 at the Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD on January 6, 1927 he was a son of the late Albert Raymond Byron and Minnie Elizabeth Byron (Musch). Having served with the United States Navy, he was a proud and patriotic veteran of WWII and retired as a civil servant at Fort George G. Meade. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Doris Virginia (Swarthout) Byron, and will be remembered as a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed but always remembered by his daughter Virginia Lee Byron Bojanowski and husband George Bojanowski; his son Frederick C. Byron, Jr.; his son Jeffrey Byron and wife Kinsey Byron; his grandchildren, Lisa Robbins and husband Charles Robbins, Brian Bojanowski (deceased), Kristen Byron Scalice and husband Robert Scalice, Sarah Byron, JD Byron and Dana Byron; and his 3 great-grandchildren, Charlie Robbins, Henry Robbins and Logan Scalice. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in The Gary L. Kaufman Vermillion Chapel on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Gilchrist Hospice.
